Hot and Happening Lynda Carter

An American television series ‘Wonder Woman’ aired in 3 seasons from 1975 to 1979, casted Lynda Carter for the iconic role of Wonder Woman. Lynda Carter was just 24 then and liked to read Wonder Woman comics. When she was offered this role, she was so overjoyed and excited to wear the costume of her own favorite super heroine that she said, I could even play this role for free.

Journey of Comics

Wonder Woman made her first appearance in the 8th issue of ‘All Star Comics’ in December-1941. Then from January-1942, she was published in ‘sensation comics’. But in 1944, DC Comics adopted her and Wonder Woman became a DC Comics super heroine. From 1944 till today DC Comics is releasing Wonder Woman stories.

About T V Series

‘The New, Original Wonder Woman’ was a film released in 1975 and telecasted on ABC network, in which Wonder Woman was played by Lynda Carter and Steve Trevor was played by Lyle Waggoner. This film proved to be a grand success and thus, two more one hour episodes were ordered by ABC. They were telecasted some weeks later and even they turned out to be success.

Wonder Woman in Cartoons

Wonder Woman made her first animated appearance in a cartoon named ‘Brady Kids’, in 1972. It was her guest appearance in the episode ‘It’s All Greek to Me’. In this episode, the Brady kids come across Wonder Woman and accidently they all find themselves transported to the past, to the times when the ancient Olympian Games were being held.
