Amazons: The Amazons is a fictional race of super-women who lived on the Paradise Island. They are immortal and there were three incarnations of them; one pre Crisis and two post Crisis. Amazons is the race to which Wonder Woman belongs.They are in the favor of  love Goddess Aphrodite because of which they have been living peacefully on Paradise Island for centuries.

Apart from Wonder Woman, other major DC Comics super heroes include Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Plasticman, Captain Marvel, Zatanna etc. All of them are blessed with superhuman magical qualities and they use them to fight crime and establish justice, peace and love on earth. These superheroes are also part of Justice League of America.

Ares: Ares is the Greek God of war and the son of the God Zeus. He is the major enemy of Wonder Woman, who had many conflicts with her and hundreds of times he tried to disturb the peace in the world. Every once in a while he tries to cause assaults but each time Wonder Woman defeats him and reestablishes peace. Ares first appeared in the very first issue of Wonder Woman itself and in the pre crisis episodes he was referred to as Mars.

Mavis: Mavis was a slave of Baroness Paula Von Gunther. When Paula left Nazis and became an ally to Wonder Woman, Mavis took over the charge. She was very cunning and dangerous and she vowed to avenge both Paula and Wonder Woman. Mavis stole Wonder Woman’s Invisible plane, kidnapped Paula Von Gunther’s daughter, tied a bomb to Wonder Woman and found her way out from Reformation Island.
