Wonder Woman is a fictional character created by William Moulton Marston during the period of World War II and widely famous as a super heroine of DC comics.She is one of the super hero trilogy; Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman and a member of Justice League.This character made its first appearance in the year 1941 in ‘All Star Comics’ and in 1944 DC Comics took it up.

Dr. William Marston was a prominent American psychologist, feminist theorist, inventor and comic books writer. He is one of the foremost comic writers who is still acclaimed for his celebrated creation – ‘Wonder Woman’.

Olive Byrne (Olive Richard) was his former student who conducted an interview of Dr. Marston on October 25th, 1940.

Though Wonder Woman was originally created by Dr. William Marston, because of the popularity of this character and ever increasing public demand, DC Comics had to continue publishing Wonder Woman comics even after Marston’s death. So, she was later handled by other writers which resulted into many different changes in character, story, costume and so on.

‘All Star Comics’ is a comic book series published by ‘All American Publications’ in the year 1940.As the title suggests, this comic included the adventure stories of almost all American super stars and thus making a kind of anthology of all comic stories.The primary focus of ‘All Star Comics’ was the ‘Justice Society of America’- the first superhero group.

Wonder Woman; the Amazon super heroine, first appeared in All Star Comics in 1941 and from 1944 she appeared in DC Comics. Originally her outfit was a combination of red, white and blue colors. She wore a red strapless low cut tight top with an insignia of gold eagle and a WW golden sign on it, along with a pair of blue briefs or loose fitting shorts with white stars.

The Goddess Aphrodite created Amazons superior to human beings and Diana was the best of all Amazons. She was blessed with many powers and weapons by different Gods which she used to fight against crime and spread peace and love. She had learnt martial arts, acquired many skills; both physical and intellectual and took Amazon training, which add to her abilities.
