Wonder Woman has a collection of weapons and accessories which are used by her in the battle against crime and in the establishment of truth. Invisible Plane is one such accessory that complements her powers and weapons. It can be controlled by the mental commands of Diana.

This invisible plane came into the story after the death of Marston.There are different stories and views about the creation of this plane. Some believe that it was invented by Amazons using their scientific techniques. Another story suggests that Pegasus; the legendary horse with wings transformed itself into this aircraft. There are speculations that perhaps this is not an earthly creation but it’s an alien creation and ‘Lansinarians’ an alien race developed this plane scientifically and it was known as ‘Morphing Crystal’. It is also said that there is a robotic substance called ‘Dome’ and this plane is made out of it.

There is a tale told in the support of Lansinarian origin of this invisible plane. Some alien got separated from something called ‘The Ring’. It crash landed on earth and Lansinarians found it. As it had lost its memory, it formed itself into a plane shaped thing and helped those people. Later Lansinarians gifted it to Diana. This plane was also taken into past to 1940s by Diana’s mother and she fought in World War II.

This invisible airplane can turn into any vehicle on earth, in water and in space and it can carry many people. It is a transparent and translucent object and it can’t be detected even by any radar. When this plane turns invisible, it renders the travelers also completely invisible. In space it can provide oxygen and it can shape weapons out of its body when at war. Wonder Woman sometimes uses this plane as a communication device as well.

Initially the ‘Invisible Plane’ had propellers but later as technology developed in actual world; the shape of the plane was changed to a jet plane similar to a fighter jet. Wonder Woman carries this plane in the form of a small disc and it turns into any invisible vehicle anytime she wants. The original plane once got stuck on Themyscira so Wayne Industries; a fictional company in DC Comics created another invisible plane for Wonder Woman.
