More than the Wonder Woman story or the comics, what creates more gossips now a day, is the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. Even in past there were rumors that a new Wonder Woman movie or a television series is in progress and soon it will be released. But these rumors never turned out to be facts.

Mostly they give the reason of the inability to find an actress as good as Lynda Carter. But I think somebody should try and venture a new Wonder Woman face now. Because, the new generation that makes the audience these days is not Lynda Carter fans generation. We are acquainted to Wonder Woman through comics and at the most cartoons. So we are obviously not going to compare new Wonder Woman with Lynda Carter.

There is a buzz in industry these days that the new costume which is recently introduced is meant for the new movie only. They have designed it in such a way that it can represent a new, modern and fashionable warrior; Wonder Woman, an outfit that can suit heroines like Angelina Jolie. Yes, she is talked of being one of the nominees for Wonder Woman role. Another is Megan Fox and her images released in Wonder Woman costume blows more air into the rumor. But on the other hand she herself has denied this possibility.Everybody is expecting a big budget block buster movie when actually there is no recent official announcement.

Warner Bros. and Silver Production together had declared a project in 2005 and it is said to be under development, but we really have no clues. Joel Silver is believed to be in search of good writers and directors and in one interview he said that the movie is on indefinite hold. We are not quite sure about whom to believe. The positive responses to the animated Wonder Woman movie are encouraging as more producers and directors are thinking about a new Wonder Woman movie. The most frequently talked about names on this front are; Bronson, Beyonce, Nicolas Winding Refn, Joss Whedon and Lauren Shuler Donner. David Goyer is the writer who is said to be involved and Jennifer Love Hewill is said to be begging for the main role. It seems everybody but Warner Bros. is interested in making a Wonder Woman movie.

As we hear the gossips, this upcoming movie is supposed to be released in 2013 and people have started giving their suggestions about it. Some of them want Lynda Carter to enact Hippolyta, some say even if you have changed Wonder Woman’s costume, her signature weapons should be kept intact. Another suggestion is that the aimed audience should not be only men but the movie should be made keeping women in target as well. A lot is being spoken about but there are no substantial steps taken. Or may be they are being taken and we are not aware of them. Whatever be the scene, I am tired of these hallow rumors. There must be a movie now. “Let there be a movie…” I said!
